About Lucia

Throughout my undergrad, I had the opportunity to explore various research fields and how they integrate into healthcare - from organic and polymer chemistry to biomedical device engineering. The motifs of innovative problem-solving and interdisciplinary collaboration have become my favourite part of research. For my graduate research, I’m interested in designing dynamic and stimuli-responsive polymers with applications in drug delivery and disease diagnostics, and I strive to translate this work into improving patient quality of life. Outside the lab, I love puzzles, crochet, learning to play the guitar, drinking bubble tea, and eating poutine (especially from my hometown of Montreal)!
