About Theo

Theo recently completed his doctoral degree in Chemistry from University of Massachusetts Amherst. During his research trainings, Theo picked up skillsets required for nanomedicine development, from small molecule and polymer syntheses, assay developments, to breast cancer mouse models. As a postdoctoral researcher in the Maikawa lab, Theo aims to expand his toolbox by using engineering approaches to develop and assess novel responsive nanomaterials for diabetes management applications as well as other unmet clinical needs. Outside the lab, Theo enjoys playing board games, cooking, and exploring new hangout spots and restaurants in the city.
